Get yourself examined to prevent Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is quite commonly diagnosed in women and almost 1 in every 8 is developing in it. While there are certain risks that cannot change, but what we can do is change our lifestyle to prevent it.

  • Minimize or avoid alcohol: According to the research, any person consuming more than 2 to 5 glasses of drinks daily need to be highly cautious about the Breast Cancer.
  • Be aware of family history: Having a personal or family member’s history may increase the risk and do let your doctor know about this. But do remember if your mother or sister who have this before, does not mean you will be developing it as well.
  • Check your breast every month: Checking your breast does not mean it can reduce the risks but helps to detect it earlier.
  • Quit smoking: As we know that smoking will bring the effects in lung, mouth cancer and etc. Although there is no link between smoking and breast cancer but smoking at an early age increases the risks.
  • Consume more vegetables and fruits: Eat raw or lightly cooked vegetables (broccoli, cabbage and etc) which consist of protein to offer the protection against it. While eat more servings of the fruits will also reduce the risks.
  • Exercise regularly: Regular exercise provides the powerful protection. Aim for a 30 minutes of exercise such as briskly walking in for 5 or more days in a week.
  • Keep a low fat diet: A low fat diet can reduce the risks of developing breast cancer by decreasing the risks of obesity.

For the sake of family members for those who love you, prevent and detect it earlier by changing your lifestyles.

An Early Detection can Save your LIFE

“Breast cancer” is the most dangerous disease women could undergo. This is common among women aging from mid 20’s to 50’s. Can’t believe right???? Yes, in today’s lifestyle it is diagnosed 1 in among 9 of the women folks. An early detection of Breast cancer can avoid removal of the breast and can save your life.

The best way to prevent is “Early Detection” as it has a better chance for a successful treatment and surgery.

There are 2 ways to detect breast cancer at an early stage. They are  self-examination and mammography.

  • Self-examination: This is the best method to detect breast cancer at an early stage. Every women should examine herself one week after the mensuration cycle. Before adopting this technique, firstly learn the right way to exam. Once you find any changes or lumps in your breast, do not hesitate to consult a doctor and report the symptoms. As this is essential part of Self Examination. Do not panic if you find one as in most of the cases 9 out of 10 are reported benign.
  • Mammography: Mammography is nothing but a simple breast x-ray examination which can detect breast cancer before you feel the lump. There are two plastic plates placed in between the breasts and slight compression is given. The X-ray report can show the exact results of the test. It is advisable for  every women to go for a mammography test once in 3 months atleast.

Save your life by screening tools which should be continued for women at late 20’s to 50’s in order to maintain a good health condition.

There are many kinds of cancer which begins when the cell in part of the body start to growth out of control. As we know that breast cancer is the second leading cause death in women, following by lung cancer. The diseases not only fall on women, for men also have the same issue. Men generally are at low risk which is less than 1 percent while for women there are 90% of risk factors are found.

In order to create the awareness, education and knowledge about the same is very important which can provide women more sensitivity about this. For example risk factors, ways to prevent, what kind of treatment and how to detect early.

There are different kinds of risk factors such as gender, age, family history, alcohol, smoking and etc. At this time, there is no guaranteed way to prevent it but what women can do is lowering the risk by changing those risk factors that can be changed. For example, limit alcohol use, exercise regularly to reduce the risk.

It is mostly treated by surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and the treatment decisions will be based on the patient and her physician after considerations.

To reduce the risk, a person must change their lifestyle, for example quit smoking and often, the sooner the treatment begins, the better the chances for living many years and save your life as well.
